The period from the start of the current year (calendar or financial year, as the company follows) up to today, or the total for that period.

When to use it
Use it when you report sales, expenses or progress from the start of the year until now.
Examples
1. Our YTD sales are 12% higher than the same period last year.
हमारी YTD सेल्स पिछले साल की इसी अवधि से 12% ज़्यादा है।
2. Please add a YTD column to the expense report so we can see how much of the budget is used.

💡 Tip: Check whether your company counts YTD from January or from April, since Indian companies often follow the financial year.
